To expedite treatment, we may also reserve time following the exam for diagnostic records, such as X-rays, photos and impressions. In that case, the overall first appointment will average about an hour and a half.
During your first examination, we will address your needs and discuss a few standard orthodontic treatments available to you. Please ask any additional questions that you may have, as we want this first experience to make you comfortable in your decision to proceed with our orthodontic practice.

If available, please bring any panoramic X-rays taken within the past six months. Also, If you have orthodontic insurance, bring your insurance card to this first appointment. This will better help estimate your treatment costs.
You’re one step closer to achieving the smile you’ve always wanted! After your consultation, we will schedule your first appointment, and your doctor will take records (if not already taken) and initiate your Orthodontic treatment. This appointment generally takes about an hour, and during this time our team will be available to make sure that you are as comfortable as possible.
Visiting the orthodontist about every four to eight weeks is an important part of your orthodontic treatment. Our practice will work with you to make sure that your appointments are as convenient as possible. When scheduling appointments, please let us know what days and times work best for you.

It is very important that you continue to visit your family dentist once every six months, even during your orthodontic treatment, for teeth cleanings and routine dental checkups. If extra dental care is needed, we will be happy to coordinate with your family dentist to make sure that you are receiving the best care possible.
